The principle is simple: we are outside (and sometimes sheltered if it rains!), we settle under the trees, in the park, under the arbor, with a carpet, cushions… and books ! We listen, we observe, we sing, we leaf through, we share images and words, stories between young and old…

Reading outside is great. So in July 2022, we went back there, to share readings with families and the public of reception structures.

These readings were able to take place, with the support of the Department of Pas-de-Calais and the European Metropolis of Lille and in partnership with media libraries, libraries, early childhood structures, leisure centres, homes, etc.

45 days of shared readings took place in the Nord and Pas-de-Calais:

at Fromelles, Englos, Mons-en-Baroeul, Sainghin-en-Weppes, Fâches-Thumesnil, Carnin, Noyelles-les-Seclin and Ronchin;
and also in Annoeullin, Wattignies, Tressin, Wattrelos, Anstaing, Forest-sur-Marque, Halluin and Vendeville;
and again in Arras, Tournehem, Helfaut, Bomy, Enquin-les-Guinegatte, Tournehem, Helfaut, Berck-sur-Mer, Portel and Desvres;
also in Equihen, Saint-Etienne-au-Mont, Attin, Outreau, Bouquehault and Sangatte;
and even at Rexpoëde, Watten, Buysscheure, Warhem, Glageon, Fourmies, Anor, Féron and Eppe-Sauvage;
finally in Alembon, Bonningues-les-Calais, Pihen-les-Guines, Condette, Wimereux and Etaples.

Of course, this summer, books and readers have traveled a lot!
