In France, RecycLivre collects and resells online second-hand books, CDs, DVDs, video games, vinyls that you wish to part with.

Volunteering at Read with me
To complement and enrich the actions of salaried readers, Read with me relies on a network of volunteer readers.
Volunteers undertake to read regularly in two french departments (Le Nord and Le Pas-de-Calais) in a wide variety of places, such as hospitals, prisons, Maternal and Child Protection consultations, homes, reception centers for asylum seekers, schools, libraries, retirement homes, charitable places, nurseries, social centers…
Like salaried readers, volunteer readers follow a training course, and participate in meetings for reflection and discussion.

The Word Box [La Boîte à mots] is looking for volunteer respondents
Created in 1996, The Word Box is another action of the association La Sauvegarde du Nord [The Safeguard of the North].
It is led by a team of salaried animators who provide writing and letter-reading workshops for a large number of children.
The Word Box is looking for volunteers in both french departlent Le Nord (metropolis of Lille) and Le Pas-de-Calais (Arras area and former mining basin) to answer children’s letters.
