Wow! The whole team is delighted, honoured and proud that Lis avec moi-La Sauvegarde du Nord has been nominated for the prestigious Astrid Lindgren Memorial Prize, considered to be the “Nobel Prize of children’s literature”.

We sincerely thank the Youth Commission of the ABF – Association des Bibliothécaires de France – for nominating and supporting us as an organisation working to promote reading among young people. This nomination rewards more than 30 years of work in the Nord and Pas-de-Calais regions.

Lis avec moi is one of 11 French-speaking candidates among 245 nominees (from 68 countries) for the 2024 prize. Nominees who are all worthy of receiving this prize. So congratulations to them all!

The winner will be announced on 9 April 2024.
